From asphalt to natural playground

Roosevelt Elementary Natural Playground

Great Falls, Montana

We helped the Roosevelt Elementary PTA bring their initiative to transform an asphalt school yard into a natural playground to life. The PTA wanted to use to use locally-donated boulders and drift wood, but the insurance company threatened that anything not built by a manufacturer could not be used. We coordinated with National Park Service guidelines for Natural playgrounds, and exposed false claims by the insurance contact who falsely claimed playground inspector status (and also happened to be vendor of such manufactured equipment). The natural playground proceeded - to the joy of students.
