Supporting healthy students and staff

UMW Wellness Center

Dillon, Montana

The new Wellness Center on the campus of University of Montana Western will serve as a best-in-class fitness and wellness facility for students, faculty, and staff. BSPARK’s scope includes a new free-standing 5,550 GSF facility adjacent to the existing (BARC) Bulldog Athletic Recreation Center. The primary goal is to provide the student body a facility dedicated to their needs, including fitness space and equipment as well as flexible breakout zones and acoustically-controlled spaces to support the campus wellness program.

Our designs for the new facility thoughtfully place the building to reframe the existing outdoor quad and find alignments and visual connections to the BARC and other adjacent buildings. With this being one of the first new construction projects on campus in some time, we are working with UMW on a design that both acknowledges the historic components of campus and also creates a dynamic, new image for where the university is headed in the future.
